During the 90s, the old London show was making a transition into the revamp version that featured no CB or Belle and included "Crazy". However, before the final version came about, there were some experimentation. The original show had a number known as "Hitching and Switching" where the racers chose their partners. Now, the Broadway and Bochum merely removed this number altogether, but the changing London show attempted to retain the "carriage selection" scene. This led to the infamous "Union Square Dance." It was sung by Control, but apparently the cast refused to do it after a few showings. This is the only known photo of the deleted song:
[link]Unfortunately, I have not found my original source for the lyrics, but the words remain as when I first saw them (including the description of the music). If you were that person who put this together, thanks a lot.
Control, Control
This is turning into a real grudge match
Take a chill pill everyone
We're gonna settle this on the track
So let's be friendly, let's have fun
And let's get hitched
(imagine sad Country and Western Barn Dance)
Bou-da-dou-dou
Dou-dou-dou
Dodoo-Da-Doodley-Do
Every engine choose a track
Pick up the loops and climb on the back
Train now standing on platform nine
Get off the platform back on the line
All line up and promenade
Let's have a look at the trains we've made
Hey, Electra chose the freezer
Now Espresso best not eat, he got a
Buffy, got her flashly
Bobo's making smoke with Ashley
Dinah's got her Greaseball lined up
Come on Pearl, make your mind up
All along we won't get far
Take your wagons to the start
Hurry up Rusty, get joined on
(Whistle) Too late, train time gone
